In case you are unaware of what the Kids Run is, Colquitz has been involved in helping the Kids Run event, held on May 4 this year, to raise money for helping kids on Vancouver Island who are battling cancer.  The money raised by Colquitz goes to help train hospital staff, buy furniture for the pediatric oncology ward and helps to pay for travel over to Vancouver Children’s hospital.  Show your support by taking part in the fundraisers and by registering for the 1km and 5 km walk/run or by seeing either Ms Schuring or Mrs. C about volunteering in the Kids Zone May 4th.

The gym is open today at lunch recess for students wanting to play recreational Badminton. No competitive team players please.

The Colquitz competitive badminton team is hosting our first games today against St’ Joseph’s. Badminton players should meet in the gym immediately after school to help set up the gym and to get a uniform.

Reminder to Culture Club students that we are meeting TOMORROW at noon in the Home ec Room to finalize our plans for Monday.

Pizza, pizza, pizza – Just a reminder about pizza lunch tomorrow!!

Attention students: A reminder that ALL STUDENTS must STAY OUTSIDE until the bell in the mornings.  In addition to this, we have noticed that many of you try to sneak into the school while we are drumming on Thursday mornings.  From now on, NO STUDENTS are allowed to enter by the front doors while we are drumming.  You may get toast by the door by the basketball court as usual, and exit by that door.

Also, we have noticed a lot of strong scents in the school lately that are likely perfumes, colognes or body sprays.  No one is allowed to wear these TO SCHOOL or apply them at school.  Please leave these scents at home, as some people in our building are very allergic.

Could whoever has the aqua chromecart please bring it to room 115 now (Ms Thom’s room).
