Friday is silly sock day! 

 

Rugby practice tomorrow at lunch. The ⅞ team have their first game tomorrow afterschool at Monterey.

 

Attention Grade 8 volleyball players who are playing in the staff vs. student volleyball game. The game has to be moved to Tuesday April 23 at lunch instead due to pizza lunch on Thursdays. Please let Ms. Irving know if you are no longer able to play.

 

Track and Field Fun:

  • High jump for all grade 6/7 students-boys and girls today in the gym with Mr Arnot.  Please arrive at 12:00.
  • Long Jump at the long jump pit today at lunch for all grade 8 students girls and boys with Mrs C.  Please arrive at 12:00 as well.  
  • Tomorrow will be a long run practice at lunch with Em.  This includes practice for 300m, 800m, 1200m and 2000m
  • If you have not picked up an information form or have not been in a sport yet this year to fill in your pink sheet, there are copies outside room 129.

 

Volleyball practice Friday am for Kiet’s team as well as interested grade 6/7 girls who want to commit to a volleyball development practice.  7:00-8:00

 

Attention Badminton players! Today we are hosting games at Colquitz against Selkirk Montessori. Please meet in the gym immediately after school to set up nets and to warm up before our visiting team arrives. Games will start at 3:45 and end around 5 o’clock. Please talk to Mr. Leblond if you can’t make the game and remember to hand in your pink athletics forms if you haven’t already done so. Tomorrow we will have our regularly scheduled practice at lunch eating time as the volleyball game has been rescheduled.

 

Amber Pod Bottle Drive!

There’s still time to bring in your recyclables to raise funds for the Kids Run! From now until this Friday, April 19th we ask that you please bring refundables rinsed out/in bags and place any glass in a separate bag. All other refundables can be mixed! Please bring to Room 106! 

 

Spectrum Football

Calling all current Grade 8 students who will be attending Spectrum in September. The Football Team is back and ready to get going! No experience necessary. This is a great way to start your secondary school journey on the right foot. There is no better way to start a new school all dressed in black, orange, and white and on the football field representing your Spectrum Thunder.

Anyone interested is encouraged to find the sign-up sheet in the office and put your name down. We will be starting next month to get ready for the season in September. Fall camp starts August 19th.
