Treat day is TODAY!  Blue Pod will be selling candy bags at nutrition break for $2.  All proceeds will be donated to The Kids Run on May 5th. This money will help children on Vancouver Island who are battling cancer.

 

Attention Grade 8 volleyball players who are playing in the staff vs. student volleyball game. The game has to be moved to Tuesday April 23 at lunch instead due to pizza lunch on Thursdays. Please let Ms. Irving know if you are no longer able to play.

 

Amber Pod Cup Bottle Drive has begun!:

Please help us raise funds for the Kids Run on May 5th. From now until Friday, April 19th Amber Pod would like your refundable bottles! We ask that you please bring refundables in bags and place any glass in a separate bag. All other refundables can be mixed! Please bring to Room 106! April 19th will be the last day to bring in bottles. 

 

Badminton players, tomorrow we are hosting games at Colquitz against Selkirk Montessori. Please meet in the gym immediately after school tomorrow. Games will start at 3:45 and end around 5 o’clock. Please talk to Mr. Leblond if you can’t make the game tomorrow. Also, remember to hand in your pink athletics forms if you haven’t already done so.

Rugby practice today at lunch. 6/7 Boys have Games today afterschool at Dunsmuir. Please meet by the front door at the dismissal bell.

 

Track and Field Fun:

There is a sprint practice at lunch today.  Meet at the 100m track on the library field.

Open practice after school. 

If you are interested in running the 300m – 2000m races please meet at Nutrition Break in room 121 (Em’s class) to discuss practice schedules. 

 

Friday is silly sock day!  

 

Yearbooks are on sale now!  Advisory teachers, a list has been emailed to you with all the current yearbook orders today.  Please let your students know whether or not a yearbook has been ordered for them.  If there are any problems, please contact Ms. Schuring. 

 

Do you like popcorn? Good news – band and choir are selling popcorn TODAY at lunch recess! Bring your money to the foyer to buy Kernals popcorn. Bags are $3 each. Choose from buttersalt, salt and vinegar, dill pickle, caramel, white cheddar and kettle corn. ONLY STUDENTS PURCHASING POPCORN WILL BE ALLOWED INSIDE, and you must exit to go back to supervised areas outside as soon as you’re done. Thanks, and see you at lunch recess!!!

 

Spectrum Football

Calling all current Grade 8 students who will be attending Spectrum in September. The Football Team is back and ready to get going! No experience necessary. This is a great way to start your secondary school journey on the right foot. There is no better way to start a new school all dressed in black, orange, and white and on the football field representing your Spectrum Thunder.

Anyone interested is encouraged to find the sign-up sheet in the office and put your name down. We will be starting next month to get ready for the season in September. Fall camp starts August 19th.
