Track and Field News:
-HJ practice at lunch today after eating
-Running practice at lunch today after eating. This is mandatory if you are competing in the 100m on Thursday.
-Triple jump practice at lunch today after eating. Also mandatory if you are wanting to compete in triple jump at the meet this Thursday!
-The new sign up sheets for the meet on Thursday are up on the athletic board in the foyer. Make sure to sign up and of course, you need to show you have cleared the standards.
The 100 m will require a mandatory practice today to determine which 6 athletes from each grade are attending the meet.
The relay sign up is for teams who want to practice at the track this week. It is not timed. Keep in mind the 100m races go quite late so if you are wishing to stay, you may not get to practice until after 5:30 or 6:00.
Leadership meets today at 12:12 in the library.
Reminder to yearbook club members, there is NO yearbook club tomorrow after school but there will be a meeting on Thursday for anyone who can make it.
It’s Rainbow Week! This is a week to celebrate gender and sexual orientation diversity, also known as 2SLGBTQIA+. In our community we have people who identify as 2-spirit, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer or questioning, intersex, asexual, aromantic and so much more.
In other words, everyone’s different and that’s great! To celebrate this week we encourage you to show your support by wearing rainbow or bright colours on Wednesday!
The Rainbow Club will be hosting a pride kahoot game show in the library on Wednesday at lunch recess. It’s open to everyone and there will be prizes! Happy Rainbow Week everyone!
