February 19

Pizza, pizza, pizza – Please listen carefully.  Advisory teachers, please let your students know who has ordered.  A list was emailed out by the office. Students, please be ready at your classroom door with a paper towel in hand in alphabetical order and wait for a runner to take you to the pizza serving tables.  Students who have a lunch time activity can go straight to their table when the bell goes. Students in divisions 1-14, will go to the foyer and students in divisions 15-23 will go to the blue pod table

There is a small pop sale also happening today.  First 22 lucky people will be able to purchase a pop for $2 to help wash down their pizza.  We need 3 or 4 members from the White team to help run the table.  Please be there just before the bell to help set up.  This will be sold at NB today to help avoid the chaos with pizza sales.  Girls on the White Team:  I need 2 or 3 of you to come to the foyer at NB just before the bell.  Please do not drink the pop during class time!

Go Canada, Go! To show our support for the Canadian Olympic and Paralympic athletes, we will be having an impromptu Spirit Day on Friday.  Dress in red and white and all things Canadian to show support for our athletes going into the final weekend of the 2026 Winter Olympic Games!

Breaking News! Canada is now in 10th place with 4 Gold Medals, 4 Silver Medals and 6 Bronze Medals.

Please check the lost and found tables for any of your lost items.  All items that have not been picked up will be donated on Monday.

Volleyball news:

-The gym was electric as our competitive girls’ teams went head-to-head in an unforgettable showdown. Spike for spike, dig for dig, the rallies were fierce and the momentum swung wildly—it was a true nail-biter from the first serve to match point. Every play brought the crowd to its feet! It was the perfect high-energy warm-up as they geared up to take on the competitive Bayside teams. To our incredible players: you were absolutely outstanding. Your grit, teamwork, and heart were on full display, and it showed.

-And a massive shoutout to our all-star scorekeeping crew — John, Landon, River, Jean, Easton, Nathanial, and Alysha — for running the table like seasoned pros (as always!). We couldn’t do it without you.

-Staff and students, this is your chance to be part of the action. There’s nothing like the sound of a roaring crowd behind our players as they battle for every point!  Your cheers matter. Your support makes a difference. When the gym is loud and full of school spirit, it fuels our teams to dig deeper and play harder.

-Girls grade 6 volleyball: Team yellow and green play the boys grade 6 team tomorrow at lunch. Turquoise if you didn’t play last week, come play this week. If any grade 7 or 8s can come help scorekeep and line, that would be great!
