All students with Indigenous Ancestry: we will be having our monthly pizza lunch TODAY in the Home Ec room for ALL GRADES.  We look forward to seeing you and connecting with you!

 

Anyone who has been colouring the Santa’s Anonymous bears, please finish them and return them coloured and cut out to the office TODAY. Please do not put your name on them. 

 

Do you have wacky, fun or bright coloured socks that are begging to be seen?  Silly Sock day is next Thursday!  

The yearbook Cover Design Contest closes on Monday.  If you would like to submit a cover design for this year’s contest, please make sure to read the contest rules carefully and submit your design by Monday. 

Yearbook orders are now open.  Check the school website or ask your parents to check the weekly parent newsletter to order your copy online.  Yearbooks are $26 and contain 68 pages of amazing memories. Order early so you don’t miss out!

Swim Team! Commonwealth pool is officially open so swim practices will start TODAY. Please make sure to return your forms to Ms. Steffens and we will see you on the pool deck at 3:15 for our first practice.

November 7 is International Inuit Day. It is an opportunity to celebrate, listen to, and learn from Inuit from across the North. It is a day to honour the rich contributions and vibrant ways of knowing and being of Inuit across the globe. WIth a rapidly changing world and climate, Inuit peoples are faced with the continued challenges of keeping traditional practices alive amid the pressures of a tech-filled, fast-paced world.  

 

Tomorrow, November 8th, is National Indigenous Veterans Day This day was first commemorated in Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1994 to recognize the widespread contributions of Indigenous men and women throughout Canada.
