Thursday is Jersey day!  Show your spirit by wearing your favourite jersey or sport themed shirt

[Ms Schlappner] Students: there are two weeks left to school this year.  We want everyone to be able to take part in all of the fun planned.  Let’s finish strong by being kind, respectful and safe with each other.  If you are unable to do this, you may have to miss out on some of the fun.  So let’s support each other in making good choices and keeping things positive until the end.  We know you can do it! 🙂

Gowan- For generations of men the traditional ‘strong male’ stereotype has been a big part of our culture. Expressing emotion has always been seen as a sign of weakness. This suppression of emotions can seriously damage a person’s mental state, and this can in turn damage relationships with either friends, family, or more. This has contributed to high suicide rates in men.

Rafa- According to an article published by Canadian Men’s Health Foundation in 2025, men’s mental health is on the decline, with rising rates of stress, depression, and anxiety -especially among young men.  Despite these trends, the strong male stereotype remains a major barrier, with many men never seeking professional help, so it is likely that the real decline of men’s mental health is unknown.

Aaron- In order to help with this issue, you, yes you can reach out to people you know check in on them, make sure they’re doing okay. If anyone you know is seriously struggling with mental health and or suicidal thoughts please call 9-8-8 the national suicide help line.
