Rugby rugby rugby-Thank you to all the players for a great season and for representing Colquitz well at your tournaments at SMUS.

In many places around the world, people don’t have access to clean drinking water. With access to clean water, families are able to have their children attend school, watch their crops flourish at home and improve their personal health. Children are especially at risk for water-related diseases, and with better access to clean water school attendance rates increase—expanding the opportunities in children’s lives. Lead the change is hosting their annual Walk for Water event from June 2-6th to raise understanding and empathy for people who have to walk very long distances everyday just to get clean drinking water. We hope you join us!

Rainbow Club – Field trip forms are due on Wednesday at the latest. Please bring them to Ms. Thom in room 15 or to the library on Wednesday.

Track and Field:

There is a track meet today for the following events:  1200m, 300m, long jump for boys, high jump for all grade 8’s, discus for girls and shotput for boys.  Oddly, we only have 3 athletes signed up.   Deadline for signing up for today’s meet is at NB today.  The sign up sheets are on the athletic board as usual. If you need a ride, this also has to be indicated by NB so that arrangements can be made.   Make sure you have a pinnie to wear. They will not be brought to the meets.  Good luck to all athletes!  It is a busy track meet today!

Will the owner of #97 please come and claim their jersey.  We know who you are…

A reminder that for Wednesday’s meet, there is now the girls 6/7 highjump due to rain cancelling the event last week.  If you are competing Wednesday, and you are in the musical, please speak to Ms MacKenzie and Mrs C to help negotiate this.  Ira, Harry and River- you will be competing in the final on Wednesday.

Reminder that 6/7  volleyball with Kiet is now Friday mornings.

Can the athletic binder please be returned to the photocopy room by the end of the day.

Attention all students:  There will be NO GAGA BALL this week.  Yes, for everyone. There are too many people who are having a hard time being kind, respectful and safe, and this will be a cooling off week.  Please find other things to do with your friends.  We will start up again the week of June 2nd with Grade 8s at Nutrition Break and Grades 6s and 7s at Lunch Recess.
