-Girls 6/7 basketball Tomorrow morning at 7:30.  This will be the last tryout for the competitive team.  We are looking for a coach to take on a recreational girls 6/7 basketball team still.

Tour De Rock Ride by. TODAY at 10:53. All classes are invited to join in cheering on the Tour De Rock riders at 10:53 this morning. They will be riding by in front of the school on Interurban Rd. Colquitz parent, Mary-Ellen Sommerville will be one of the riders!

 

The next soccer jamboree is this Monday, October 7th! If you are in grade 6, 7, or 8 and have come to any of the practices, and you would like to play at the jamboree, please meet Ms. Hall in the Red Pod Hallway at Lunch recess. That’s any soccer players that have come to practice that would like to play at the Jamboree on Monday, please meet Ms. Hall in the red pod hallway at lunch. 

 

Colquitz Coho, will be running a swim team again this year for swimmers in grades 6-8. If you are interested in joining but missed yesterday’s meeting, come down to Ms. Steffens classroom (room 111) TODAY at nutrition break today for more information.

 

Indigenous Student Lunch – FRIDAY in the library. Those students with Indigenous ancestry are welcome to join us for a pizza lunch in the library, starting at 11:57 tomorrow.

 

Congratulations to the Colquitz Ultimate team on their excellent play at Lansdowne yesterday. Colquitz players demonstrated great sportsmanship and perseverance in difficult, windy conditions. Our final game against GNS ended with some brilliant passing in extra time for the win. Practice today after school. Meet in the art room before heading out to the field.

 

All girls interested in Grade ⅞ Basketball please attend a meeting in Room 112, Mr. Wilson’s room, at Nutrition Break Today. First practice is tomorrow at lunch.

 

Garden club today at lunch time. Bring your lunch outside to the garden and help make the school a beautiful place. We’ll work through lunch and recess.

 

Mountain bike club resumes on Monday. Be sure to speak with your parents about transportation for next week’s ride. Anyone interested in participating who didn’t ride with us last time is invited to see Mr. Leblond in the Art Room at lunch recess tomorrow. 

 

All rugby players please return your jerseys to Ms. Irving asap. Please do not return the jerseys to the office. 

 

Pizza, pizza, pizza –  Advisory teachers, please let your students know who has ordered.  A list was emailed out yesterday by Ms. Bender. Students, please be ready at your classroom door with a paper towel in hand in alphabetical order and wait for a runner to take you to the pizza serving tables. Students in divisions 1-14, will go to the foyer and students in divisions 15-23 will go to the blue pod table. Students who have a lunch time activity can go straight to their table when the bell rings.
