All students: please DO NOT WEAR SCENTS TO SCHOOL. We have people who are severely allergic and it can cause them to have to seek medical attention when scents are too strong. You especially should not bring items like perfumes, colognes, or spray deodorants with a strong scent to school and apply them here – items will be confiscated if you do. Rec ⅞ and Comp 8 boys basketball will be practicing today after school.
The competition continues at lunch today with the remainder of Round 1. Competitors, if you have not had a chance to shoot, please show up at lunch today. Round 2 will begin next week. Respectful spectators are welcome to come down and watch.
-A huge congratulations to our x-country runners. We had our last race yesterday-it was a beautiful day on a beautiful course. A special shout out to our grade 8 girls. This is the largest group we have ever had at Colquitz. In fact, of the 30 girls running in that event yesterday, we had 9 girls representing. So proud of you all. We will see you for our fun run on Wednesday!

The Student Question was: What decade did the song “The Monster Mash” come out? For those that do not know a decade is a period of 10 years. Answers ranged from 400BC to 2010’s!

The Staff Question was: What is the name of the group who sung the song “The Monster Mash”? This must have been a tough one as all the staff was not probably born before this song was released in 1962, but one person knew the correct answer!
