Attention all students! We need your artistic talents to help design this year’s Colquitz yearbook cover. If you are artistic and are interested in submitting a yearbook cover design, please attend the short meeting in Ms. Schuring’s room (Room 120) at nutrition break. Yearbook cover designs will be due on November 13th.
Pumpkins were delivered yesterday to classes who indicated that they would like to participate in the carveless pumpkin display. Please wash your pumpkin and store it in a cool place like next to your window to prolong its life. Please have your pumpkin ready to display by next Thursday and have a student designated to take the pumpkin home on Friday October 30th.
Pizza, pizza, pizza – Please be ready at your classroom door with a paper towel in hand in alphabetical order and wait for a runner to take you to the pizza serving tables.
SPORTS:
-What an incredible game from our girls’ basketball team! The competition was fierce, the energy was electric, and the score stayed close point for point! Our girls fought hard, made some amazing plays, and showed incredible teamwork, determination, and heart.
–COLQUITZ STARTS THE SEASON WITH A WIN! The Colquitz Grade 8 Boys Competitive Basketball Team kicked off their home season opener with a 69–46 victory over Glanford! Great teamwork, strong effort, and an exciting start to the season A big thank you to everyone who came out to cheer on and support the boys!
–We couldn’t do it without our amazing scorekeepers, who received several compliments from the referees throughout the games for their outstanding work! Swim Club Reminder: There is NO SWIM CLUB PRACTICE tomorrow. Do not go to the pool this PRO-D Day. There will be practices on the Pro-D days in November and February.
Book Fair is next week. Classes will have a chance to preview the Book Fair on Monday afternoon and all day Tuesday. Book Fair will be open for sales on Tuesday after school until 3: 30pm, on Wednesday all day until 6:30 pm, and Thursday all day until 3:30 pm. Be sure to check with your teacher for your class’s scheduled preview time and class shopping times.
